At the Prince of Wales School, Dorchester, we ride approximately twelve children aged between 3 and 9 years.
Riding is an integral and vital part of their individual Physiotherapy programme.

Most of these children suffer from Cerebral Palsy.
The youngest attend the School’s Specialist Nursery, the rest are supported in mainstream school.
The Headmaster, Staff and Physiotherapists from the local NHS Childrens’ Centre are closely involved in all we do.
The School grounds are used for riding sessions.

Parents report that their children are always determined to go to school on the riding day!
Just being on and around a real pony has a therapeutic affect on the children. The children really love it.
We are not funded by the Local Council, the LEA nor the NHS.
All our funds are self-generated.
